Owen Coyle says Bolton must bounce back immediately by beating Wigan after suffering a 4-0 defeat against Sunderland.
The Trotters went into Tuesday night's game on a high after picking up wins over Wolves and West Ham but came crashing back down to earth at the Stadium of Light.
Bolton were behind within a minute and although they came fighting back and dominated the start of the second half they were picked off at the other end as Darren Bent grabbed a hat-trick.
The sending off of Sam Ricketts which led to Sunderland's third from the penalty spot did not help matters but Coyle felt the scoreline was harsh.
"We could very easily have won that game ? and that might sound daft being that we lost 4-0," he said. "We need to pick ourselves up again and the only way we can do that is by winning the game on Saturday."
