Stoke City’s Mamady Sidibe could be set for an extended spell on the sidelines after sustaining suspected knee ligament damage against Fulham.
The Mali international is awaiting confirmation of the injury after falling awkwardly during Saturday’s goalless draw with Fulham.
Stoke boss Tony Pulis, who had already suggested he was on the look-out for a striker, could now be forced to enter the transfer market in January to replace the stricken striker.
Pulis reportedly has the support of chairman Peter Coates to continue his search for new talent and bring players to the club.
