Mark Hughes admits Craig Bellamy is a major doubt for Manchester City’s Premier League match against Arsenal on Saturday, but the Welshman posted a more positive bulletin on the fitness of Robinho.
Bellamy missed Wales’ 2-0 defeat to Germany on Wednesday with a knee injury that may not right itself in time for the weekend.
Hughes concedes his countryman is a big doubt for Saturday’s visit to Emirates Stadium.
"There is a bit of an issue with his knee,” Hughes told City’s official website.
“We'll have a look at it and we'll see, but he is a big doubt for the weekend."
Robinho, meanwhile, was replaced 20 minutes from the end of Brazil’s 3-0 win over Peru on Wednesday with a minor injury but fears that it could sideline him for the Gunners clash were dismissed by Hughes.
He said: "We have had a message back from Brazil that he should be okay."
