Two goals in the space of three minutes saw Marseille maintain their grip on top spot in France following a 2-1 win over Lille.
Starting the day two points ahead of Bordeaux, who won the French League Cup on Saturday, Marseille went behind to a goal from Eden Hazard.
But Benoit Cheyrou (54) and Mamadou Niang (57) turned the game on its head and ensured that L’OM are secure in first for another week at least, given they are now five points clear having played a game more than Bordeaux.
Toulouse slipped up in their pursuit of European football when drawing 1-1 with Lorient on Sunday night.
Andre Ayew put Lorient ahead after 84 minutes, only for Toulouse to equalise four minutes later through Mauro Cetto, leaving the home side four points shy of third-placed Lyon with five games remaining.
At the bottom of the table, Le Havre are all-but relegated as a 1-0 defeat to Grenoble, with Pierre Boya on the scoresheet (41), sees them 12 points adrift of safety .
Caen are only two points shy of 17th-placed Nantes but could have escaped the relegation zone as they were defeated 2-1 by Auxerre. Gregory Proment (61) put Caen ahead but two goals from Ireneusz Jelen (85, 88) turned the game on its head.
St Etienne are the third team in the drop zone, one point above Caen, following a 3-1 defeat at Nice. The home side raced into a three-goal lead after goals from Chaouki Ben Saada (23), Eric Mouloungui (73) and an own goal from Stathis Tavlaridis (45), before Ilan Dell’igna claimed a consolation in injury time.
Nantes remain in 17th having also fallen to a defeat with goals from Julien Feret (55) and Andre Luiz (67, pen) giving Nancy a 2-0 win.
Monaco won 1-0 at Le Mans thanks to Park Chu-young’s goal after 86 minutes while Sochaux drew 1-1 with Valence after Vaclav Sverkos scored in injury time with a penalty, cancelling out Amara Bangoura’s opener (62).
