George Burley has been rocked by the news six players have withdrawn from the Scotland ‘B’ squad.
Scotland face Northern Ireland at Broadwood on Wednesday night and will now do so with a flurry of late chances.
Leaving the squad are the injured Mark Wilson and Graham Dorrans.
Also pulling out are Darren Barr, Craig Bryson, Ross Wallace and Paul Gallagher.
But the former Hearts manager has moved quickly with Leigh Griffiths, Ian Black, Jack Ross, Chris Burke and Andy Webster being called up.
Another change has been the decision to name David Clarkson the captain for the match following the withdrawal of Falkirk defender Barr.
