Striker Eljero Elia has announced he will leave Twente in the summer which may alert Premier League clubs.
The 22-year-old has completed his second season in Eredivisie, and confirmed the KNVB Beker defeat to Heerenveen on Sunday was his final appearance for Steve McClaren’s side.
“I have played my last game for FC Twente in the KNVB Beker final, but I do not know yet where I will play in the new season,” Elia told RTV Oost.
“As agreed with FC Twente it’s the end of the line here. I haven’t spoken with any club until now. That will happen in the coming days.”
It is reported that scouts from Manchester United, Arsenal, Tottenham and Fulham were heading for the Dutch cup final with Elia one of the players to be scrutinised.
