Emmanuel Adebayor has refused to imagine what life at Arsenal would be like without Arsene Wenger and Cesc Fabregas.
It is ‘impossible’ to see Wenger moving on from Emirates Stadium according to the striker, who has labelled the manager The Gunners’ 'father'.
The Alsatian has been linked to Real Madrid, but Adebayor thinks that his coach will turn his back on another team, as he remains deeply attached to the North London club.
For his part, Spain international Fabregas has been linked to a return to his homeland, but Adebayor has affirmed that the midfielder is fully committed to the cause.
When asked what Arsenal would be if they were to lose skipper Fabregas, Adebayor told Marca: “It would be complicated.
“He is already the most loved player of the club, a model on and off the pitch and we are happy to have him with us.
“To me, playing alongside makes me proud – he is talented, has personality, he has helped make Arsenal what they are and they have made him who he is today.
“To my mind he is fine here, he feels at home and I think that he wants to stay a few more years. He is loved, has everything he wants here, as a consequence I think he will stay, but it is his own decision.”
When asked if Wenger could embark on another challenge, Adebayor said: “Impossible, it would be like a father abandoning his children.
“The club love him, the fans as well; he has settled into life in England and has won titles that he will keep for life. The players like him as well.”
