Chelsea could opt against signing Twente star Marko Arnautovic after the striker picked up a foot injury.
The 20-year-old has been strongly linked to The Blues, following a highly promising season with Steve McClaren’s Twente.
The Eredivisie club and Chelsea have already reached an agreement regarding Arnautovic’s move to London according to reports.
But the Austrian’s foot injury could rule him out of action between four and six weeks, as a consequence the transfer could be dead in the water.
Arnautovic, who is believed to be rated at £14 million by his club, bagged 14 goals and delivered seven assists this term with Twente, who finished second of the Dutch league and qualified for the Champions League.
