Republic of Ireland boss Giovanni Trapattoni told setanta.com that he is focusing on Friday's friendly with Nigeria before even thinking about next week's World Cup qualifier against Bulgaria.
The 70-year-old will give five new players their debuts at Craven Cottage as Ireland mix experienced players with some that have been on the fringes for quite some time.
Kevin Foley (Wolverhampton Wanderers), Sean St Ledger (Preston North End], Eddie Nolan (Preston North End), Liam Lawrence (Stoke City), and Leon Best (Coventry City) are the new faces that will be in the starting eleven.
Don't forget to watch Republic of Ireland v Nigeria on Setanta Sports 1 from 19:30 this Friday.
When quizzed by setanta.com on whether any of the debutants could start against Bulgaria if they impress in the friendly, Trapattoni was quick to state that he does not view Friday's encounter as a meaningless game.
"[A long time] ago, I said to everyday that I have breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Today, I think about the breakfast that I had, the lunch also, and I think about dinner," Trapattoni said at a press conference.
"Tomorrow, I will think about what happened today. It is a bit unlucky to start thinking ahead.
"What is important [right now] is Nigeria. They have players that play in strong European teams and will be a strong team."
