Roda JC have rejected two bids from Holland for striker Sekou Cisse – but no English side has yet made official contact.
Feyenoord and FC Twente have both made offers for the 24-year-old Ivory Coast international, with Portsmouth and Everton also said to be monitoring the player.
However, Roda technical director Martin van Geel has said that the bids have been rejected and, while the English sides have apparently made discreet enquiries, they have yet to show firm interest in the player.
"The difference between their offer and our asking price was too large," he told AD Sportwereld.
"For now, Cisse’s transfer to those clubs is not going to happen. I don't know if Feyenoord and Twente will come back to us."
He added: "Not a single club from England has officially contacted us."
PSV have also made enquiries about Cisse.
