Inter are close to sealing a deal for FC Twente striker Marko Aranautovic as Chelsea’s interest cools, according to his agent.
The 20-year-old Austria international is one of the most highly sought-after talents in the Eredivisie, and both Inter and Chelsea have been strongly linked with a move.
And, although he has a stress fracture in his foot, agent Rob Groener believes he could still secure a move to the Serie A champions.
“Marko has had a medical with Inter,” he told ELF Voetbal.
“They know about his foot problems, but that is not going to stop Inter.
“For us, it is just a case of waiting now, because Inter or FC Twente must now make the next step.
“They’re going to negotiate the transfer.”
Asked if Chelsea had enquired about holding a medical, he replied: “No, we are no longer hearing much from them.”
