Brian Kerr is happy with the progress he is making as manager of the Faroe Islands.
The Dubliner accepted the post in April and took charge for his debut game earlier this month at home to Serbia.
Despite a plucky hosts' showing, the Serbs won 2-0 but Kerr feels that there is hope in the tiny North European nation.
Speaking to Setanta Ireland's TheHub, the former Irish boss explained: "If the percentage of people went to League of Ireland matches that visited Faroese league games, we'd have to have three Croke Parks every weekend.
"We had a few very good chances before Serbia scored and they've top players from out of Serie A, the Premiership in England, the Bundesliga and so on.
"They're used to playing quite deep and not condeding too many goals; what I try to do with them is push us up.
"Our next game is at home to France and plenty of people seem to want to go and have a look. We have to go to France as well. It'll be very tough to get a point in the group but there is promise.
"The under-21s beat Russia 1-0 and that gave everyone a lot of hope."
