Besiktas have made contact with Everton striker Louis Saha regarding a summer transfer, according to the general secretary of the Turkish club.
Saha only joined The Toffees from Manchester United last summer and scored eight goals for David Moyes’ side, including the quickest FA Cup final goal in history as Everton lost to Chelsea at Wembley.
The former France international was only able to make ten Premier League starts due to fitness problems though and it has been reported that he could be leaving Goodison Park.
Now Besiktas have claimed they are making progress in their attempts to sign the 30-year-old.
“We have contact with Saha,” Kenan Oner told the Turkish press.
“We’ve taken steps forward on this issue. There’s been good developments.”
