Luis Boa Morte has revealed he is planning to stay put at West Ham and fight for his place.
The Portugal international struggled at times last season, attracting the ire of sections of the Hammers support.
But the wide midfielder, who has one year to run on his current deal at Upton Park, says he no intention of leaving and hopes to stay in England for a further three years.
“I thought I should stay and fight for my place,” he told Desporto. “I still intend to play three more years abroad.
“I have one more year at West Ham and then two more after that. Where I play those two years, assuming all goes well, we will see.”
But Boa Morte has revealed he intends to finish his career in his native Portugal.
“I intend to finish in Portugal. I would love to play at least one year at Belenenses. I also like Setúbal and Guimarães.”
