Former Liverpool and Portsmouth left back Djimi Traore has completed a move to French club Monaco.
Traore, who won the Champions League with Liverpool in 2005, was a free agent after coming to the end of his current deal with Pompey.
The full back spent the tail end of last season on loan at Birmingham, but failed to make an impression at St Andrews, making only three appearances.
Traore, 29, has signed a two-year deal with the Ligue 1 club and says he cannot wait to link up with former manager Guy Lacombe, who he knows after spending a spell on loan at Rennes early in his career.
He told the official club website: “I have had many coaches in my career and Guy Lacombe is among the best alongside Gerard Houllier and Rafael Benitez.”
