Joshua Clottey told setanta.com that his superior speed and body attack will be too much for Miguel Cotto.
The former IBF unbeaten welterweight champion insists he is not overawed by the challenge of facing the massively popular and highly-rated WBO champion.
Speaking exclusively to his one-time sparring partner Spencer Fearon before the contest, Clottey revealed what he sees as the chinks in the Puerto Rican idol's armoury.
"He's a normal guy - he's not speedy, he's not fast, he's just a normal one-punch fighter," Clottey told setanta.com.
"He's not a combination puncher. I have never thought he was better than me.
"I know he's not faster than me, I'm faster than him and he doesn't like bodyshots.
"I have no special gameplan. All I'm thinking is getting there and winning the fight.
"You need to get to the ring relaxed. If you get there too tight you can't so what your supposed to do. I pray that when I get there to the gym I will feel as I do in the gym, then I will be fine."
Clottey is delighted the fight will be shown in the UK live on Setanta Sports at 2am on Sunday morning and remains very fond of London, where he lived before the turn of the millennium.
"Truthfully I have a lot of fans in England," Clottey added. "I love London and whenever there's a World Cup I support England - if they lose I feel bad. I can't do anything for a whole day."
