New date for Khan-Kotelnik

by Ciaran Baynes , 15 June 2009
Amir Khan's world title fight with Andreas Kotelnik has been rescheduled for July 18.

Khan's bout with Kotelnik was put in jeopardy when the Ukrainian fighter suffered an infection in his mouth which made it impossible to make the original June 27 date.

The WBA light welterweight title contest will now take place at the MEN Arena in Manchester.

The rest of the card will remain intact with British light middleweight champion Matthew Hall defending his title against Anthony Small and Olympians James DeGale, Frankie Gavin and Billy Joe Saunders also in action.
