Johnny Murtagh is to appeal the five-day suspension handed down to him by the British Horseracing Authority following his ride aboard Kayf Aramis at Royal Ascot on Tuesday.
The ban, which runs from July 1-5, would rule him out of the Coral-Eclipse meeting at Sandown.
Murtagh, who steered Yeats to an historic fourth win in the Gold Cup at the Royal meeting on Thursday, has been accused of careless riding in the Ascot Stakes.
If the County Meath jockey's appeal is unsuccessful he could possibly miss out on the ride aboard Mastercraftsman, the St James's Palace Stakes hero, on July 4.
Murtagh's latest suspension follows hot on the heels of the ban he incurred at the Investec Derby meeting which sees him sit out the final two days of the Royal meeting.
A date for the hearing has yet to be confirmed by the BHA.
