Dubs boss to hold trials

by tony_cuddihy , 21 October 2009

Dublin manager Pat Gilroy is set to hold regional trials in a bid to find new football talent before the start of the 2010 league campaign.

The trials will take place between November and December.

Gilroy has written to each club manager in the capital asking them to nominate players they feel might be good enough to aid the Dublin cause.

The Dubs management have attended various county championship games in recent week but this latest move is seen as their most pro-active yet in trying to find replacements for some older members of the 2009 panel.

Dublin's first competitive match of the new season takes place against Wexford in the O'Byrne Cup on January 10th.
