Cahill keen on Antrim job

by Nick Royle , 22 October 2009

Dinny Cahill has confirmed that he would consider becoming the manager of the Antrim senior hurling team for the second time.

The resignations of Sambo McNaughton and Dominic McKinley have left open a position that the Tipperary-based Cahill would be interested in taking.

The four man committee deputed to find a new manager are thought to be keen on appointing Cahill and former county star Gregory O'Kane.

"I suppose if I thought there was a good programme there, and if I thought there were people interested in having me up there, then I suppose I would," Cahill stated.

"When you commit to doing something, you just do it. "I would never consider the mileage. If there is something to be done you just knuckle in, do it, and make sure you have your day's work done before you leave."

Dunloy's Shane Elliott and Cushendall's Fergus McAllister have also been linked with the positions.
