I think it was really important that Aston Villa got something out of Sunday's game with Everton if they want to finish fifth in the Premier League.
Martin O'Neill's side were in fourth spot for a huge part of the season, but have lost out there to Arsenal in recent weeks mainly due to the sensational form that Arsenal have shown and some key injuries Villa have suffered.
Everton looked to be on their way to a win in a gripping match on Setanta Sports before James Milner and Gareth Barry got Villa back into it and that could prove to be a crucial point.
This season was all about making steady improvement and I feel that Martin is on the right track with that. He will be hoping to take that fifth place though and secure European football for next season.
Villa have a lot of young players and they have a big part to play in the club's future. I'm sure the fans will be a little disappointed that they have not wrapped up fifth place, but the loss of Martin Laursen has really affected them.
While Curtis Davies, Zat Knight, and Carlos Cuellar are all good defenders on their own, I feel that Laursen brings that extra bit out of someone that he plays alongside. His absence has been noticeable.
Everton will continue scrapping for fifth, but I think Villa will have enough to take it and that would be a good finish to the season.
