Look out for Bruce and Barry

by Stefano Bozzi , 20 November 2008

The Friday Football Show has moved to a new earlier kick-off time – we’ll be on at 6.30pm from this Friday but you can still catch us later when the show is repeated at 10pm.

This week James Richardson will be joined in the studio by Steve Claridge and Paul Parker as we look ahead to what the Premier League has in store this weekend.

After starring in wins over Arsenal and Germany in the last seven days, we hear from Aston Villa and England midfield general Gareth Barry ahead of Villa’s home game against Manchester United on Saturday – a match you can see live on Setanta Sports 1 from 4pm.

Also coming very soon on Setanta is the Monday night game between Wigan and Everton. We sit down with Steve Bruce as it’s a year since his move from Birmingham and we’ll hear his thoughts on possibly the toughest relegation battle ever.

And from Everton we speak to the unsung Phil Jagielka – a man quietly making a name for himself as one of the Premier League’s top defenders.

Also on the show, Portsmouth midfielder and Milan fan Richard Hughes guides us around Fratton Park ahead of the visit of Maldini, Ronaldinho, Kaka and co on Thursday evening in the Uefa Cup. He’ll show them the less than salubrious surroundings they can expect, and also tells us of his upbringing as a boy in Milan and his emergence through the youth system at Atalanta.

All that plus a look back at the action from England’s win in Berlin, three of the best goals from Europe and a mini preview of every Premier League game.

Do join James live at 6.30 on Setanta Sports 1 on Friday to begin your weekend of football viewing.
