Quinn won't let Jones' feet touch the floor!

by Tim Sherwood , 18 May 2009

Ricky Sbragia’s got more chance of staying as manager if they get relegated.

I think the money that would come in if they stay up, they’d reassess and get a bigger name manager.

But I’m sure, if he keeps them up, he’ll get rewarded and they’ll keep him on in the backroom staff.

He’ll know everything about the players. He’ll tell the new manager which ones to get rid of, which would be quite a few I would suggest.

One of them could be Kenwyne Jones. If Niall Quinn gets a big offer he won’t let his feet touch the floor!

The guy’s let them down. He’s got great ability, we all know about that. But he doesn’t produce it regularly enough.

Alan Wiley's blown the whistle before it’s reached the net, so we’re entitled to question it.

There was a lot of confusion among the players. You can see the Portsmouth players have gone up to Alan Wiley and asked him, has he given the goal. They have to double-check.

I’m not sure if he was playing advantage thinking that Utaka was being fouled, only to then give the penalty. It’s a very strange decision from Alan Wiley.

I think Graham Poll said it during the match that if the referee blows his whistle before the ball enters the goal then he can’t give a goal.

Tim Sherwood was speaking as part of Setanta Sports' coverage of Monday's match between Portsmouth and Sunderland.
