* HERE'S THAT VERMAELEN UPDATE... It's all above board, our man Joe Caron-Dawe has been all over it and the man (Vermaelen, not Caron-Dawe) will sign at Arsenal if he passes Friday's medical. Click here for the story...

* Thomas Vermeulen is heading for a medical on Friday ahead of signing a four-year deal. We've got the quotes, we're just calling the player's agent for confirmation - stick with us and we'll bring you that story in full...

* This is bound to wind you Arsenal fans up. Dutch source Voetbal Primeur believe Manchester United are targeting Robin van Persie as Cristiano Ronaldo's successor! Don't shoot the messenger!

* HERE'S THAT SAGNA UPDATE...beautifully written by Tom Adams of course. Click here for the story.

* The agent of Nigerian keeper Vincent Enyeama has claimed that Arsenal were close to signing his client recently. Click here for the whole sordid affair.

* Cesc Fabregas has denied claiming that a phone call from Pep Guardiola could convince him to join Barcelona. Read the full story here.

* Luc Castaignos, a reported target for Arsenal, has now been linked with Real Madrid. Let's play guess the ridiculous transfer fee.

* Auxerre's Polish striker Ireneusz Jelen says he has had offers from French and German clubs, but that a move to Arsenal would be his dream transfer. Read on here

* Cesc Fabregas has implored Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger to sign a holding midfielder, so he can foray forward. We've held off on the 'Cesc issues come-and-get-me plea' headline, read on here. He's also had a nice little dig at Man Utd too.

* Arsenal fans can cross off Mamadou Sakho from their list of potential new arrivals this summer with the defender adamant that he will not be leaving Paris Saint Germain.

* Cesc Fabregas has given an interview in Spain in which he has stated his happiness at Arsenal, although he admits that if he were to receive a phonecall from Pep Guardiola that could change.

* According to the London Evening Standard, Real Madrid are hoping to sign Gael Clichy from Arsenal this summer. Is there anyone they aren't targeting?

* Vincent Enyeama is another man being linked with Arsenal. The Nigeria keeper is currently with Hapoel Tel Aviv and had a trial with Bolton some years back. Coming hot on the heels of Lukasz Fabianski's new deal, there is bound to be some scepticism about this but we're looking into it.

* Some disappointing news for Arsenal and Manchester City fans... Edin Dzeko has stated he will either join Milan or sign a new contract at Wolfsburg, seemingly ruling out a move to The Premier League this summer. Click here for more.

* The agent of Luc Castaignos has told us that the Feyenoord player could well move to Emirates Stadium and that Liverpool are not part of the equation.

* Sebastien Bassong has confirmed he wants to leave Newcastle, with reports in the papers claiming that Arsenal and Tottenham are interested. Full story here.

* Sixteen-year-old Dutchman Luc Castaignos is keen on a move to Arsenal that looks likely. On one condition - he is allowed to go back out on loan to Holland for another season. Confused? Me too. Click here to clear your head.

* The Daily Mirror thinks Arsenal's move for Thomas Vermaelen will mean the end for Willy Gallas. The Express goes a step further and suggests he's off to Milan or Juventus for about £4m.

* Robin van Persie has backed Arsenal's bid for Ajax centre back Thomas Vermaelen. See here.

* AN UPDATE ON VERMAELEN. The defender will seal his move from Ajax to Arsenal in the next few days, according to his agent. Soren Lerby told Belgian daily Het Laatste Nieuws: “The first offer from the English club is totally satisfying but talks will continue in the next few days and no doubt an agreement will be reached.” Soren Lerby - remember him?

* Philippe Senderos has reiterated he wants to stay at Milan but it is in Arsenal's hands. Regarding Vermaelen, it is still a long way off being finalised, but Dutch sources claim the two clubs are in agreement.

* A move unlikely to happen is the Gazzetta dello Sport's suggestion that Cesc Fabregas is the top target for Milan to replace Kaka. Presuming the brilliant Brazilian's switch does go through today, the Rossoneri need to do some face-saving but could be barking up the wrong tree if they think they can lure the Arsenal captain away from Emirates Stadium.

* Thomas Vermaelen says he is ready to make the move to Arsenal. Check it out here.

* Reports in Belgium say Arsenal have a €13 million transfer fee for Thomas Vermaelen and that now the Ajax defender must agree personal terms, something that should be a 'formality'. Click here for more.

* Udinese star Cristian Zapata has confirmed that Arsenal have been monitoring him, along with a number of other clubs. Maybe Tony Adams meant an Italian-based defender, and not an Italian defender! Click here for more.

* Hot off the heels of those Vermaelen quotes, we have also unearthed an interview with his fellow Belgian Eden Hazard in which the Lille star says he would be tempted by a move to Arsenal. We do treat you well, don't we? Click here for the story.

* Thomas Vermaelen has broken his silence over Arsenal. Okay so he isn't saying a lot, not surprisingly, but it looks as though the defender is on his way to North London. Click here for full story.

* Tony Adams has revealed to setanta.com that Arsenal are eyeing an Italian defender.

* A biggie from Denmark. Well, not really. Not at all in fact but we thought you'd like to be kept up-to-date nonetheless. Arsenal kid Jonas Hebo Rasmussen, is having a trial with Viborg.

* Blaise Matuidi, who has been linked to Arsenal, Tottenham and Portsmouth, has refused to commit himself to St Etienne. Here are his words in all their glory.
