* Milan's hopes of landing Florent Maluoda appear to have been dashed after the forward revealed he has signed a contract extension.Click here for the story.

* It seems as if every man, dog and bison is interested in a move to Real Madrid. Michael Essien's agent says his man could have his head turned. Click here for the story.

* Florent Malouda has been linked with Milan today but now he has been talking about his future at Chelsea. Michael Essien's agent has also been mouthing off, see what they had to say here.

* We are just getting reports in from Italy that Milan are targeting Florent Malouda as new coach Leonardo looks to switch to a 4-3-3 formation next season. I guess most Chelsea fans would have been happy to see the back of him in January, but he finished the season so strongly didn't he?

* Apologies for the delay..as promised, here is Alexandre Pato making clear his interest in Chelsea. Again.

* Breaking news... Milan have insisted Andrea Pirlo is not for sale. I hope he doesn't come to England - surely the chance is he would 'do a Deco'. These players have been too good to be remembered for how they flop in England during their twilight years...

* Hijack! Don't get too excited, Ajax want to snatch Ben Sahar out of Espanyol's hands. Maybe they saw the opening goal in the FA Cup final are merely getting confused...It happened before, remember when Milan signed Luther Blissett when they actually wanted John Barnes?

* Italian news now and Mediaset claim Inter will unveil Deco and Ricardo Carvalho, along with Marko Arnautovic, as their new signings early next week. Nicolas Burdisso will head to Stamford Bridge as part-exchange.

* In what may be a blow to Chelsea fans, Mundo Deportivo are stating that Sergio Aguero's agent has met with Barca director of football Txiki Begiristain.

* There's been a lot of to-ing and fro-ing over Gennaro Gattuso's future of late. He does want a move to Chelsea, he doesn't want a move to Chelsea. Well it seems he has finally admitted that he'd be interested in following Carlo Ancelotti to Chelsea.

* Monaco, linked with Andriy Shevchenko, have described a move for the Chelsea forward as 'fantasy'. Not in a good way either. It's not going well for the Ukrainian this summer. Read more here.

* Our thanks go to Gazzetta dello Sport, which has issued the wildcard rumour of the day. They seem to think that Chelsea can afford to lodge a bid for Zlatan Ibrahimovic, a player Inter are likely to value at £70m-plus. Gazzetta indicates that the Nerazzurri and The Blues would do some sort of swap deal involving Didier Drogba, as well as Deco and Ricardo Carvalho whom Inter are currently negotiating over.

* We're seeing it unfold with Michael Owen, and now Andriy Shevchenko appears to be going down the same route. It's that horrible fall from grace, and in this case it involves two former Ballon d'Or winners. Owen's management company have sent out a 'brochure' in an attempt to secure him a new club, and now Aujourd’hui Sport are claiming Shevchenko has asked Marco Simone to source him a new side in France. Lyon, Monaco and Marseille are all believed to be interested.

* BREAKING NEWS!!! Strictly speaking, this might not be worthy of bold type but I'm going to stick with it. Inter's Massimo Moratti says the club are in negotiation with Chelsea for both Deco and Ricardo Carvalho.

* Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has once again firmly denied that Alexandre Pato will be joining Chelsea, telling Corriere dello Sport: "All our big players are 99.9 percent likely to remain," he said. "The only exception is Pato. He is 100 percent definitely remaining. He is the best 19-year-old in the world."

* Any chance that Chelsea had of signing Marko Arnautovic appears to have disappeared after his agent confirmed a deal with Inter is likely to be struck. Click here for full story.

* Andrea Pirlo has been chatting about a move to Chelsea. The cut of his jib? 'Let's see'.

12.35: Some news from the continent for you. AZ Alkmaar's Moussa Dembele wants to leave the Dutch club according to his agent. No prizes for guessing who's been linked to him. Yep, Chelsea.

* Manchester City have forgotten the value of money and think they'll get £10m in compensation for out-of-contract Daniel Sturridge.

* Some Italian-based fodder for you. Inter's Maicon - he who has previously been linked to Chelsea - says he is definitely leaving his current club. Meanwhile, Genoa have given up on Maicon's team-mate and former Chelsea charge Ricardo Quaresma. Don't ever let it be said that we're not comprehensive.

* What do you do when you can't sign Kaka? Turn to Sergio Aguero, so it seems. A good bunch of the morning's newspapers are speculating that Chelsea are in for the little Argentine from Atletico Madrid.

* Michael Mancienne says he wants to stay at Chelsea and push for a first-team place, although he would consider a loan move.

* Could Sergio Aguero be heading to Chelsea? The little genius has this morning declared he is 'proud' to be linked with the club. Click here for more.

Chelsea have been strongly linked with FC Twente forward Marko Arnautovic and the young Austria international hopes an injury will not scupper his chances of a move to Stamford Bridge or Inter. Click here for the full story.

* Reports in Italy claim that both Chelsea and Barcelona are hoping to sign the new Federico Macheda, or Lorenzo Cinque as he is known to his friends. Another product of the Lazio academy, the youngster appears keen to remain in Rome for now though.

* Andrea Pirlo has played down suggestions that he could join Kaka, Alexandre Pato and just about every other Milan player in moving to Chelsea. Click here for full story. Next we will have Philippe Senderos doing the same.

* A faintly ridiculous story reaches us from Germany where Bild claim that Bayern Munich are hoping to sign Jose Bosingwa from Chelsea. Yeah, right, good luck with that.

* Milan's Adriano Galliani reckons Kaka is not interested in a move to Chelsea and, if the Brazilian leaves, his countryman Alexandre Pato will definitely stay put.

* The agent of Alexandre Pato says the Milan star is 'enthusiastic' about interest from Chelsea.

* After Chelsea denied making that Kaka offer, another transfer line looks to have petered out at Stamford Bridge with Wolfsburg star Edin Dzeko revealing he is ready to sign a new contract with the German club. Click here for full story.

* The Blues have categorically denied suggestions that they have made any formal approach for Kaka, despite claims that a world record transfer fee is on the table.

* Free agent French goalkeeper Yohann Pele is in talks with newly crowned champions Bordeaux, but French media sources also claim that Chelsea are keen on his services after Carlo Ancelotti sent scouts to Le Mans earlier this season.

* Hands up who has heard of Marko Arnautovic? Those of you with your arms firmly by your side, he is a 20-year-old Austrian striker currently playing under Steve McClaren at FC Twente. Chelsea have apparently been sniffing around but reports coming out of Italy – quite literally as you and I speak – claim he is about to sign a five-year contract at Inter.

* Chelsea have been linked with everyone from Kaka to Ross Turnbull (no joke) in Tuesday's papers so here's another one for you. AZ Alkmaar midfielder Moussa Dembele's agent says The Blues have made contact. He's had a cracking season in Holland this guy.

* Do you know those players who head off on loan and you end up forgetting all about? Claudio Pizarro's a case in point and he's been saying that he's received no contact from anyone at Chelsea and could therefore stay on at Werder Bremen.

* Click here to read Kaka kicking every Chelsea fan in the country right in the proverbials by stating he is staying at Milan and not following Carlo Ancelotti to Stamford Bridge.

* A titbit now from Portugal - Bruno Alves, the Porto defender who has been linked with a move to Chelsea, has left his future open to considerable doubt. 'Let's see what happens," he told Mais Futebol. "If it is a good deal for me and Porto..." We'll leave you to speculate on the rest.
