by setanta.com staff , 29 May 2009

Check out all the transfer talk from Wigan throughout the summer.

* Jason Scotland's agent confirms to setanta.com that Wigan are interested in the Swansea striker. Check it out.

* Wigan are being credited with interest in a couple of players in Spain - Albert Crusat of Almeria and Rayo Vallecano's Mohamed Diame. The full story is here.

* I promised you a Raul Tamudo to England story, so a Raul Tamudo to England story you shall get. Where? Look no further.

* Wigan midfielder/defender Paul Scharner's agent says that Fulham, but no longer Aston Villa, are a "strong option" at the moment for the Austrian. Read the full details.

* Reports in The Scottish Sun say that Roberto Martinez is ready to fight it out with Celtic for Hibernian striker Steven Fletcher.

* Time to pick up the pace... Wigan have admitted Paul Scharner can leave for £6m, with Dave Whelan more or less calling him an oddball. Read more here...

* Antonio Valencia may have edged closer to Old Trafford after Roberto Martinez revealed the winger's future is out of his hands. Click here for more...

* I know you've all been waiting on that Cattermole story I promised...and here it is. Click here for the story. There must be some Sunderland fans out there, do you want The Cat? Aim for Scott Brown if you ask me...

* We have another exclusive for you lucky people today! Jason Scotland's agent has confirmed to setanta.com that the striker is a target for both Burnley and Wigan. Click here for the full story.

* Djibril Cisse could become the first signing by Roberto Martinez when the Swansea boss finally takes charge of Wigan, according to the People, while The Latics are also keen on Blackburn's Keith Andrews.

* Wigan chairman Dave Whelan has confirmed Manchester United have made "cash offers" for Antonio Valencia. See the full story here

* The Western Mail is reporting that Wigan are moving for Espanyol playmaker Jordi Gomez, who of course spent last season on loan at Swansea with incoming Latics boss Roberto Martinez.

* Paul Scharner says he would never join Sunderland, even though Steve Bruce has made the switch to Wearside. Smacks of Younes Kaboul's attitude last year. See here.

* Some news for our reader Ashton on Spurs. Not sure he'll be overly happy to hear Paul Scharner claim Tottenham are one of five clubs on his trail. Everton, Fulham, Hertha Berlin and Hamburg are the others, according to the wantaway Wigan man. There has been a lot of talk coming from the Austrian in the press in his homeland recently and he definitely wants out.

* Titus Bramble, the man who was a figure of fun at Newcastle before reinventing himself at Wigan, is a target for Sunderland. Will he continue his Wigan form or will the North East air prove not to his liking?

* It looks as though Wigan could be looking to bring yet another Honduran to the club with Parma's Julio Cesar de Leon the man in question, according to reports in the Latin American country.

* Hamilton's talented young midfielder James McCarthy is a name we can expect to crop up on a regular basis this summer, and The Herald in Scotland claims Wigan will target him should Roberto Martinez take charge.

This could be a case of putting two and two together as the Spaniard recently tried to buy McCarthy for Swansea, but the playmaker is very much in the Martinez mould.

* Sources in the North East are claiming that Steve Bruce is already looking to plunder Wigan for Paul Scharner, Titus Bramble and, most laughably, Antonio Valencia. Isn't he supposed to be going to Real Madrid or United??

* Paul Scharner's been talking on the continent and saying he fancies a move to Fulham. What do you make of Scharner? Never really made my mind up on him myself.

* We’ve been dipping our toe into the world of African rumours. The best we’ve managed to dig out so far is a report that Wigan are close to signing South Africa midfielder Teko Modise.
