Kieren Fallon believes he can bring his experience to bear when he rides Old McDonald in the Cheltenham Bumper this year.
The six-times champion flat jocket will step in on Noel Glynn's five-year-old having only previously rode Jonjo O'Neill's Refinement at the Festival in 2005.
"I rode in the bumper a couple of years ago and to be honest I was carried halfway around there so I've got a little bit of experience now," said Fallon.
"I wanted to be up there but I half-missed the kick and I wanted to drop in so I was riding two sorts of races and it didn't suit me.
"I was in amongst them and they carried me around. I know I should have won the race but I've learned from the experience. I'll know more this time.
"It's great in the weighing room with the jumps boys but when you get out there it's hard, they are bigger than you and you definitely want a good horse, I hope I've got one," he told At The Races.
