Lennon injury blow

by Admin , 13 March 2010 football news

Aaron Lennon's hopes of making the World Cup are in the balance after Harry Redknapp revealed he doesn't know when he will return.

Lennon has an groin problem which has seen him on the sidelines since December and he has suffered many set backs in his efforts to get back into the side.

Spurs are desperate for him to return and the player himself wants to prove his fitness ahead of the summer's bonanza in the World Cup but his boss Redknapp says there is no time scale on his return and he can not guarantee a return at all this season.

"I could not sit here and say for sure if he will play again this season," said Redknapp in The Sun. "There is absolutely no comeback date at all."
