Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is ready to turn to Lazio's Fernando Muslera as he looks to draft in a new goalkeeper in the summer.
The Frenchman is unhappy with the form of Manuel Almunia and Lukasz Fabianski and is looking to bring in a new number one at the end of the season with Lazio's highly-rated Muslera said to be top of his wanted list.
The 23-year-old Uruguayan has made the number one jersey his own and the Rome outfit have even offered him a new four-year deal to keep him in Serie A.
However Arsenal are keeping close tabs on the keeper, who admits he is aware of all the rumours and is flattered by Wenger's interest in him.
"It is important that a Premier League club like Arsenal have been monitoring my progress and it motivates me to play even better," the keeper revealed.
