Blackburn goalkeeper Paul Robinson may be a doubt for the World Cup after he suffered a calf injury on Saturday.
Robinson came off in the first half of the 3-1 defeat by Tottenham at White Hart Lane and will have a scan this week.
Manager Sam Allardyce said: "It is not clever, he has a calf injury.
"We will have it scanned to see the extent of the tear. Then we will judge how long it will take to repair before we get him back fit and well."
In other news, Blackburn are reportedly keen on Gothenburg's Icelandic centre-half Ragnar Sigurdsson.
The People says Rovers boss Sam Allardyce is looking for a young defender, and that the 23-year-old was being watched by the club before Swedish club football's winter break.
Allardyce admits that his dodgy defence could get him the sack, after watching his side concede three goals at White Hart Lane at the weekend.
"The average life of a manager is 1.3 years and I might be due to be sacked now because I'm just about 1.3 years in this job," he said.
"I can only train my players to try to defend better - not that I haven't trained them before. In fact, I'm quite sick of it, to be honest with you. We keep going through the same procedures, week in and week out.
"I tell them not to forget the basics, to do this and to do that.
"But against Spurs we didn't do it right - and that is the main reason why we lost."
