Blackburn Rovers have suffered a considerable blow with the news that goalkeeper Paul Robinson has been ruled out for up to a month.
The England international was forced off in Saturday’s 3-1 defeat to his former club Tottenham Hotspur with a calf injury and scans have revealed that he will miss several weeks of action as Rovers look to gather the last few points to ensure their Premier League survival, which to be fair already appears secure.
"It looks like we'll be without Paul for up to four weeks," manager Sam Allardyce told the Blackburn website on Tuesday.
Robinson will hope to be back in action sooner rather than later as he is hopeful of being included as one of the three goalkeepers in Fabio Capello’s World Cup squad
Welsh international Jason Brown should deputise while Robinson is injured.
