Huddlestone set for early return

by Admin , 17 March 2010 Tom Huddlestone

Tom Huddlestone is on course for an early return for Tottenham after a second scan on his ankle showed no long-term damage.

The midfielder was hurt following a challenge by Everton's John Heitinga during Spurs' victory at White Hart Lane.

No date has been set for his comeback but it's understood he is progressing well in his recovery and could soon be back in contention to boost Harry Redknapp's options.

Redknapp is short of options in the middle of the park with only Wilson Palacios currently fit.

Jermaine Jenas is working hard in training after groin surgery but this weekend's trip to Stoke will come too soon.
