Gordon D'Arcy played a full part in Ireland training on Thursday.
The Leinster centre had been a doubt for the final RBS 6 Nations game against Scotland at Croke Park on Saturday with deep bruising above the left knee. He was injured in last weekend' s 27-12 win over Wales and has beenunder assessment ever since.
He was named in Declan Kidney's side to take on Andy Robinson's men on Saturday, though Paddy Wallace of Ulster had been placed on standby to fill in, in case he did not make it.
The player will continue to be monitored by the Irish medical team to ensure there is no reaction to the session.
A final decision on his availability and fitness for the game will be made on Friday following the final run out in Croke Park.
