Chelsea have again been linked with Franck Ribery, with the Blues said to be battling Real Madrid for the Frenchman.
Ribery is currently contracted to German giants Bayern Munich but will play no part in their Champions League final on Saturday after seeing red in the semi-finals.
The French playmaker has been linked with a move away from the Allianz Arena for sometime, with Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea, Real Madrid and Barcelona all thought to be keen on the midfield star.
However, United's interest has cooled as they believe Bayern's valuation is too high, while Barcelona have identified Cesc Fabregas as their top target after securing a deal for David Villa and it seems as if the Catalan giants are no longer interested in Ribery.
City look set to miss out as they cannot offer Ribery Champions League football and the latest reports suggest Chelsea and Real will battle it out for his signature after Saturday's final.
Last summer Bayern suggested it would take a bid of over £70million to convince them to sell Ribery but it is thought a fee of £40million may be enough to tempt the German side into allowing the World Cup bound France star to move on.
