Kenny Miller scored a hat-trick as Rangers beat Hibernian 3-0 at Easter Road in the Scottish Premier League on Sunday afternoon.
Both sides were reduced to 10 men in the lead up to half-time when Kyle Lafferty and Kevin McBride were dismissed following an incident in midfield, before Miller netted three second half goals for the visitors.
Hibs had the better of the early exchanges, with Anthony Stokes seeing the ball diverted away from him by Rangers goalkeeper Allan McGregor, whilst in a dangerous area.
The Gers’ best chance of the half fell to Steven Davis, who had a header cleared off the line by Sol Bamba.
Just before the break, an already tetchy affair turned nasty. Lafferty flew aggressively and illegally into a tackle on Liam Miller, provoking McBride to kick the ball at the Rangers man. After a melee involving a host of players, Lafferty and McBride were both shown red cards.
Hibs were again on top early in the second period, with Madjid Bougherra narrowly preventing Edwin De Graaf from applying an easy finish.
Rangers went ahead when James Beattie took advantage of chaos in the home box, and pulled the ball back for Miller to smash home on 64 minutes.
On-loan Manchester City attacker Vladimir Weiss then superbly set up Miller, who added his second with a side-footed finish.
Rangers continued to look for more goals as the game moved towards a conclusion, and eventually got their third when Miller completed his hat-trick with an excellent left-footed strike from a tight angle following a beautifully weighted through ball by Davis.
