Anthony Stokes proved the hero as Celtic defeated Aberdeen 1-0 at Pittodrie, but the win came at a price for Neil Lennon and company.
Full-back Emilio Izaguirre was stretchered off the field after 17 minutes, with initial reports stating the brilliant Honduran had broken his ankle following what looked like a fair tackle by Peter Pawlett.
Chances were at a premium during the first half, with Scott Vernon's shot beaten away by Lukasz Zaluska and Beram Kayal going closest with a long range effort for the Bhoys.
Ki and Joe Ledley had early second half efforts for Celtic as the tackles continued to fly in, while the Hoops called for a penalty when Gary Hooper tumbled under a heavy tackle from Andrew Considine.
The goal was well worked when it finally came.
Stokes exchanged passes with the excellent Kris Commons before sliding his shot past Gonzalez for his tenth goal in 11 games against Aberdeen.
After that, all Lennon's side had to do was make sure they didn't concede, a task that proved easy enough.
