Celtic leapfrogged Rangers to go second in the Scottish Premier League, after a 5-1 win over Dundee United at Celtic Park on Saturday.
Anthony Stokes opened the scoring on four minutes, but Johnny Russell levelled for the Arabs just after the half-hour. However, goals from Gary Hooper, Ki Sung-yueng, Joe Ledley and James Forrest helped Neil Lennon's men to an ultimately comfortable three points.
The Bhoys opened the scoring in the fourth minute. Midfielder Ki crossed in to the box from the left, and though Daniel Majstorovic's header was unconvincing, Ireland striker Stokes poked home from close range.
Stokes had a couple of chances for the Old Firm giants, but, in the 31st minute, the Taysiders levelled.
Celtic failed to clear the ball, and United centre-half Garry Kenneth was able to play the ball across the six-yard box for an unmarked Russell to shoot past Lukasz Zaluska in the Celtic goal.
Two minutes later Celtic were back in front when Stokes headed Charlie Mulgrew's cross onto the bar, and Hooper was first to the bar to head in from a yard out.
Kris Commons hit the post in the 53rd minute, but then set up Ki for the third five minutes later, the Korean hitting the ball high past Dundee United goalkeeper Morgan Pernis from the edge of the box.
Stokes was the instigator of the fourth, releasing substitute Shaun Maloney down the flank, and he cut the ball back for Ledley to sweep home, then James Forrest hit a fifth in injury-time.
The one dark spot for Celtic was that Hooper was carried off on a stretcher after being caught by defender Paul Dixon.
