Inter have confirmed the capture of Diego Forlan from Atletico Madrid and the striker has penned a two-year deal at the San Siro.
The Serie A giants were searching for a top-class forward following the recent departures of Samuel Eto'o to Anzhi Makhachkala and have been chasing Uruguay international Forlan for several weeks.
The 32-year-old says he is delighted with the switch and is determined to show his quality in an Inter shirt this season.
"I am happy to be here, Inter are a very important club, with great players," Forlan told Sky Sport 24.
"I am very thankful to (Inter) president (Massimo) Moratti. I have already spoken with (Esteban) Cambiasso, (Diego) Milito and (Javier) Zanetti and they have told me they are happy with me coming.
"I want to play well and win, I promise all the Inter fans I will do my best to help the club reach their goals."
