Birmingham boss Chris Hughton has hailed the impact Chris Wood has made at St Andrews since his loan move from West Brom.
New Zealander Wood has scored nine times in 12 appearances for Blues - the last of which was the clincher in the 2-0 home victory against Leicester on Sunday.
"I'm delighted," Hughton told the Birmingham Mail. "You never know when you take somebody on loan how they are going to perform.
"
What he has had is that knack of scoring goals.
Even at times when perhaps his form hasn't been so good, he's been capable of producing a goal.
"If I look at what he has given us overall - his input in games, what he has shown on the training pitch, how he has gelled with the lads and, of course, importantly, his goals - then he's been very, very good value for us."
