Fabio Capello has dismissed the possibility of him staying on as England coach after Euro 2012 by confirming that 'this is it' for him.
The Italian tactician has spoken out after the Football Association's director of football development Sir Trevor Brooking revealed on Thursday that Capello could be asked to remain in his £6million-a-year post beyond the summer tournament in Poland and Ukraine.
However, Capello, who has jetted out to Ukraine ahead of Friday evening's Euro 2012 group draw in the Palace of the Arts in Kiev, stressed that the tournament will bring the curtain down on his Three Lions stint.
"As an England manager, this is it for me," he said.
Meanwhile, Capello feels the quality of the teams in the European Championships makes it a tougher competition to win than the World Cup finals.
He added: "It will be stronger because if you look at the groups and all the teams, particularly the three European teams who reached the World Cup semi-finals; the technical level is at the top, the organisation of the teams is at the top.
"Also some teams who didn't play well at the World Cup will now be back at the top.
"Portugal, France and Italy will be better. It will be a really tough tournament."
