Hibernian have signed former Republic of Ireland youth international Eoin Doyle.
Doyle becomes Pat Fenlon’s first signing as Hibs manager, the 23-year-old striker having agreed a contract to the end of the 2012/13 season.
The former Shelbourne and Shamrock Rovers frontman netted 25 times for Sligo Rovers in the Airtricty League Premier Division last season.
Doyle will be unveiled at lunchtime on Friday by the Scottish Premier League club, but will not be eligible to play until he receives international clearance when the January transfer window opens.
Former Shelbourne, Derry City and Bohemians boss Fenlon’s side sit a place above the foot of the SPL, ahead of Dunfermline on goal difference.
