Sunderland have secured the loan signing of Greek defender Sotirios Kyrgiakos from Wolfsburg until the end of the season.
Boss Martin O'Neill has been desperate to add to his squad in the current transfer window after taking charge at the Stadium of Light in December.
The 32-year-old left Liverpool in the summer but has struggled for action at Wolfsburg and has managed just seven league appearances for the German outfit.
The centre-half has now agreed to join Sunderland on loan for the rest of the campaign.
