Sunderland midfielder Sebastian Larsson is backing his team-mates to respond in a positive fashion to Saturday's defeat to Arsenal.
The Black Cats were turned over at the Stadium of Light for the first time since November at the weekend after Thierry Henry popped up to score an injury-time winner for the Gunners.
However, the Swedish international believes it would be foolish of them to get too despondent about one result after all their recent hard work since Martin O'Neill took over as manager.
Sunderland have the chance to set the record straight against Arsene Wenger's men when the two sides go head to head again next weekend in the fifth round of the FA Cup.
However, even a win in the cup tie against Larsson's former club won't quite make up for Saturday's disappointment with the midfielder revealing the squad's inner hunger for success.
Larsson told the Evening Chronicle: "I would have liked to have won both games.
"Everyone was very quiet afterwards, very disappointed - which we should be.
"I know in the cup you only have one chance and if you lose you are out. However, we have dropped down a place in the league and we do not want to be doing that, we want to try to push on.
"It is tough to lose games no matter the circumstances. We have a lot of games left and we can still do something good this season.
"We need to respond and pick ourselves up after a few days thinking about the game."
