Nick Barmby has signed a new one-year contract to stay with relegation-threatened Hull.
The forward has been blighted by injuries this season but returned to be a shining light despite Hull’s freefall towards the trapdoor.
Barmby played a pivotal role in Hull’s 1-1 draw against Bolton, in the penultimate match of the season, ahead of their crunch encounter with champions Manchester United on Sunday.
"We have sorted out another year, which I am well pleased about. The manager and the chairman have been great to me," Barmby said.
The veteran striker joined The Tigers in 2004 and has scored 20 times in 120 appearances for Phil Brown’s side.
