Bayern Munich scouts are set to watch Stoke goalkeeper Thomas Sorensen next week, according to reports in Denmark.
Danish newspaper Politiken says the Bundesliga giants will watch the 32-year-old Denmark international when he heads to Stockholm for his country’s World Cup qualifier with Sweden on June 6.
Bayern boss Louis van Gaal is said to be on the lookout for a new goalkeeper and has been linked with AZ’s Sergio Romero and Schalke’s Manuel Neuer, and it appears Sorensen could also be an option.
New Bayern sporting director Christian Nerlinger has suggested the club will be in the market for a new keeper after admitting Michael Rensing could be on the way out.
He told Kicker: "Of course, we are going to hold discussions about the goalkeeper position.
"It is too early to make decisions. His future is open."
