Cousin gunning for Hull exit

by Laurent Picard , 03 June 2009

Hull striker Daniel Cousin has implied that he is after a lucrative contract.

The 32-year-old has refused to commit himself to The Tigers and declared that he is currently waiting for an offer from an Arab club.

Former Rangers forward Cousin only bagged four Premier League goals and delivered a single assist with Phil Brown’s side this term.

The Gabon international has declared that moving back to France, with champions Bordeaux or vice-champions Marseille, would be ‘a dream’.

“I am 32 and returning [to France] would be impossible. I would not play for a team like Le Havre [who have been relegated to Ligue 2].

“On the other hand, if L’OM or Bordeaux were to knock at the door...We can always dream.”

He added in Aujourd’hui Sport: “I am waiting for an offer [from the Emirates]. You have to understand that at this stage of my career, the sporting aspect is important, but the economic aspect is even more.”
