Sheffield Wednesday boss Brian Laws says his club is ‘in with a shout’ of signing West Ham striker Freddie Sears.
Peterborough director of football Barry Fry has already claimed that Sears will head for Hillsborough on a season-long loan, after West Ham blocked a possible move for the 19-year-old to London Road.
Laws is currently involved in a major rebuilding programme at Hillsborough but he does not think it will be straight forward to capture the player.
“We are in with a shout of signing Freddie, but there are other clubs interested in him too,” Laws told the BBC.
“Freddie is currently on holiday, but we will meet up again when he gets back.”
