Chairman Paul Duffen is sure the forthcoming Under-21 European Championships will not impede Hull’s attempts to complete the permanent signing of Fraizer Campbell from Manchester United.
Campbell was on loan at the KC Stadium during The Tigers’ promotion campaign of two seasons ago and has now emerged as a permanent target of Phil Brown’s.
United have accepted a £6 million bid for the striker but negotiations looked to have been slowed by the player’s international duties in Sweden.
"The conversations are now with Fraizer's advisers, rather than with the player himself," Duffen told the Hull Daily Mail.
"The negotiations will continue, not withstanding his move to Sweden for the next few weeks.
"We can sign a contract anywhere in the world, that's not an issue. That won't be a barrier to it happening."
