Auxerre striker Ireneusz Jelen, who recently revealed his dream of playing for Arsenal, has signed a new deal.
The Poland international, who declared that he would pack his bags straight away if Arsenal offered him the chance to make the step to Premier League football, has announced that he has extended his contract with AJA until 2011 and doubled his wages.
“The negotiations have been very long and tough, but at the end of the day we reached an agreement,” the 28-year-old told Przeglad Sportowy.
“I doubled my wages and enter the league’s top 10 in terms of salary.”
