Former Portsmouth left back Djimi Traore underwent a medical in Monaco on Wednesday according to reports.
The 29-year-old was released by Portsmouth at the end of the season after helping Birmingham secure Premier League promotion during a loan spell at St Andrews.
As a consequence Traore is free to negotiate a move to the club of his choice, with the French-Malian believed to be currently in the Principality.
The 2005 Champions League winner with Liverpool has been offered a three-year deal by Guy Lacombe’s ASM, according to L’Equipe.
